Spare Copy of"The Self Coached Climber" Dan Hague and Douglas Hunter

I've recently bought a second copy of this book because I cannot find the DVD I originally had with it.

The book is a guide to movement when climbing and covers all there is to cover from body awareness through movement,physiology .training ,strength and power .I always go back to it (probably 'cos I need to)to check something particular.

In and/or out Wednesday to Saturday this week

Car for sale

A cracking evening with the boys at New Mills

We had a great evening at New Mills last night. Bertrand I started off with a repeat ascent of Mather Crack, E2 5b. I'm not quite sure when it became appropriate for me to jump on an E2 as the first route of the day, but it seemed to go pretty smoothly.

answers on a post card .....

well today hasn't happened!!            for whatever reason ,being out climbing left me with a very sourfaced  wife .wasn't that i hadn't given advance notice of my intentions.All i got was,"I didn't think you'd be out 4 hours if you're climbing locally"   !!!!  A clear sign that this wasn't going down well.  however my dearest will of course be out all afternoon at her Mum's !           i'm currently scratching my fingernails down every available wall

Ray Price

Just an historical post Ray Price joined about the same time as I did i.e before  a lot of you were born. He was mainly a hill walker I have many happy memories of some of our trips such as bivvying mid winter in an old quarry cave at the head of Longsleddale.It was of course cold and wet. Then there was the first view of what was to be the Bury Hostel at Glenridding It also was flooded, a far cry from the current hostel which Ray and I both helped to get through its early years.
