North Yorks Moors Walk at N Yorks Moors

May 20, 2017 from 8:15am to 6:30pm
Linear walk ending at Osmotherley. A few different routes to choose from, ranging in length from 10.5 to 17.5 miles. Coach transport provided to the various starting points and from the finish(all routes end at Osmotherley). It'll cost you £15 for the coach fare. You just need to get yourself to a car park on the A1180 at Acklam near Middlesborough, grid ref.NZ 471172, where the coach will pick us up, then drop us off at the end of the day. Report of Moel Famau Winter Walk

6 of us(Derek, Gary Walker, Ian Cuddy, Costel, Steve(Derek's mate) and myself) took part in the first 'Winter Walk' of the season. Started from Loggerheads Country Park car park at 9:15, after leaving a car at Bodfari. A very picturesque initial section took us along the bottom of a wooded limestone gorge. Then we crossed the river, climbed out of the gorge, and gradually worked our way up to Moel Famau, the highest peak of the Clwydian Range. From there we followed the ridge of the Clwydian…

MOB minutes May meeting Annual AGM

The AGM was well attended with approx 15 members.

Our current chair Cath Skinner did a quick resume of the years' events and thanked the members for their efforts and participation. Particular thanks goes to those who put events on the web site and managed them for all. We have had some great times out and about over the year together.

MOB minute Jan 2017 meeting

This was the annual photo comp presentation. Meeting well attended by 23 members.

New 20.00 hrs start time seems to work well.

People seems to be getting out and about over the xmas hols albeit on shorter ventures.

Plenty of biking and walking going on.

Future events include :
