Hi All

After this weekends walk a few members mention it would be worth organising a weekend up at LOPC. 

I was thinking either April or Oct as the migges are a bit bad in the summer months. It would work out at £20 per head if we got 15 members, and we could fit a lot more in if needed.

Sounds good Derek. Would we be using the center for different activities or just a base for getting on the fells?

It's not a bad location for short walks with the family, you could do some biking from the center as well It might be possible to orgainise so archery.

Not much climbing in that neck of the woods just Buckbarrow and a crag over the back we've been to before which is a good hour + walk.  If the weathers ok you can also get a B B Q going or a maybe a fire.

The main barn is quite big and has a wood burner, its been a while since the Mob stay there.

I think we could make a good weekend of it, I will see what response I get before booking it.

Sounds good. What do they do at the centre. Any paddling?

No Paddling there, you could play poo sticks on the bridge though.  It's a voluntarily

out door center that I went to from 1978 till 1982 had some good times there.  These days what with the blame claim culture they don't get anywhere near as many bookings.  I just thought it would be a nice change to get back up there.  D
