Can anyone guesss where this is?

Clue - It's closer to Bury than Troy.

Tis not Holcombe Hill, Scout Moor or Helmshore although the crag is about that far away. Keep guessing.

Derek certainly would know where it is as I told him I'd spotted it from afar and was going to track it down. Whether he has climbed it is another matter. It's quite extensive and looks good apart from the standard chossy top and it's adjacent a public footpath so good access. I was on my bike so didn't try anything. Any more guesses or shall I reveal the location?

I'll reveal before the weekend including some more pictures. Grade wise I suspect there are probably some harder grades than VS. They are quite short routes, all under 10 metres but protection seems good. Surprising clean (apart from the tops) for something that has seen little/no traffic.

It isn't visable from the M66. It is visable (just) from the A56 in the hasligden/helmshore area but it isn't located here.

If you are ever at a loose end ,just let me know .Being seriously retired ,I can generally meet up with folks anytime .Though if it's a matter of getting to Edenfield under own steam ,would need advance warning to plan my bus pass manoeuvres.Also weekend of 23rd Jly would be a hanging offence with eldest daughter getting married.Cheers Brian
