Egerton Quarry

Climbing at Egerton Quarry.  Followed by pastie and peas at the Walkers' house.

Parking is on Cox Green Road but it is limited and there are some scary householders who will protect their access ruthlessly - as Derek can attest to!  From here it is up to the end of the road, along the track and right through a wooden gate and then left until you pick up a track into the middle of the quarry.  Alternatively for a more relaxed evening you could park up at the Last Drop Hotel on the carpark at the back and to the left.  Just over the field is a track that runs along the side of the golf course.  Follow this to the left, past a wooded (pine) area and then take the first entrance on the left  into the back of the quarry.  Follow the track around the top to the opposite end where there is a track down into the Quarry floor.
