I am collecting equipment as part of a joint Cave Rescue Mountain Rescue initiative to collect and export much needed life saving gear to Nepal.

I am delivering whatever kit I have collected to the Cave Rescue Base on Saturday the 9th where Edale Mountain Rescue will coordinate its journey to Nepal. So if you have any of the equipment listed below that you can spare please can you let me have it by Friday the 8th May.

We are looking for, outdoor clothing, shoes/boots/socks, tents/tarpaulins, stoves, sleeping bags..in fact any outdoor gear that you would need to help you and your family survive in a disaster like this. Please also think about children's clothing blankets and boots.

Hi Ron I will bring some stuff to the next meeting, I have several Buffalo sleeping bags which will be I deal, they've been sitting in the loft for over 20 years and are still in good condition. Are the collecting donations which could go towards fuel costs etc? I have not made a donation towards an appeal as yet, just a thought. Regards Derek

Hi Derek

Thanks for the offer, but the kit is to be shipped out tomorrow. I am delivering everything we have collected to Edale MRT base in the morning and as far as I am aware the collections of all the MRT in the area are being transported to Edale and then shipped out tomorrow and I don't know of any other shipments in the pipeline.

None of the stuff is going to be sold, simply chucked in a truck and ends up in Nepal area.

I don't know about any donations, because we don't get reimbursed for our costs etc. But I think there must be some online ways to donate.

If you have anything that I can collect on the way to Edale tomorrow morning I am happy to collect from yours and add it to the shipment.
