I have just received a complaint from the Hoghton Estate that climbers are visiting Hoghton Qy and disturbing the peregrines, which have still not fledged. Can you please pass the word around that there is not yet any climbing at Hoghton. We only have a few days to wait, but any visits before the qy is open for climbing are likely to put future access in jeopardy, plus there is a risk of prosecution from the Police. There is a notice at the railway bridge and so there really is no excuse for visiting the qy until the birds are ready.
Could you please circulate this message as widely as possible.
Thanks
Les
