Great atmosphere despite the weather. Cheers Tim
We'll you pulled off a good day, I must admit I'd have pulled the plug on yesterday as well you know. As it went around 25 turn out and how knows how many would have come if the weather played ball. A few routes got clean and the bottom was greatly improved with some from the Mob doing some digging out and path improvement. I was surprise to find that some of the routes, interestingly not just the hard routes stayed dry, so several members enjoyed a couple of pretty good VS's. For the record it is the sort of place you could go and get some bouldering done even in bad weather. Thanks to all those who turned out and for Tim for putting some much time in and organising the day.
Regards Derek
Whoop whoop very excited. The crag is looking good! See everyone tomorrow :-)
Crag still in excellent condition, see you all tomorrow, bright eyed and bushy tailed ))
Ousel's Nest Day on Saturday! Fingers crossed for good weather. Should be good fun. The crag is looking in great condition, with loads of routes and bouldering cleaned and chalked already (well done Tim and co). Trees have been felled by UU, tops have ben excavated, ferns have been removed and three new routes have been done. If everyone who comes cleans a route on Saturday (mostly just pulling out some ferns), the crag will be spotless in no time. Hope to see you all there. The Ousel's renaissance is nigh!
On a stag do that weekend but will try and get some more cleaning done some other time either here or somewhere else =)
Don't worry Jon, there is plenty for you to have a go at, they are not all E numbers.
They are going to fell the trees in April, we will be the ones cutting branches, but the more people there, less cleaning and more climbing. Hoping to place the lower-offs at the right hand end of the crag. BBQ and may have some live music, so bring your guitar.
