Before the meeting on Wednesday a few of us will be going up to Ashworth Moor with Robin who is writing the South Lancs Bouldering guide. It is over 20 years since I was last up on this small crag so it will be interesting to get back there with fresh eyes. Although is is only small there are some nice bits of rock in a beautiful location, and opposite there is also another small natural grit stone crag which has a few problems on it.
I'm hoping to be up there from 5.30 till 8pm.
Traveling from Edenfield along the A680, you'll see Ashworth Reservoir on you right as you do look out for a large car park belonging to a currently out of business curry house, park here (never had any trouble) cross the road and head back on yourself you'll find a small gate on your left, take it and follow this path round for 3-5 mins and you see a old mill/house structure if you walk through/passed this you should see the crag high and to you left.
