Event Description

Hi guys,

A few of us are hoping to get out in the Lakes this Saturday (weather permitting). The plan is Raven Crag - I've not been before but the word is that the routes are fairly varied.

All are welcome!

Crag features
A selection of short and long (three pitch) routes on six different buttresses along the hillside above the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel. Good selection at all grades. Quick drying. Best routes - Middlefell Buttress(D), Original Route(S), Pluto(HVS), Trilogy(E5), Dawes Rides a Shovelhead(E8), Centrefold(E6), R 'n' S Special(E5), Bilberry Buttress(VS), Revelation(HS).

Access notes
Park in the car park at the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel(arrive early at weekends, give up on Bank Holidays!)Crags are 10 - 15 min. walk up behind the pub(which is not to be missed at the end of the day!)

At busy times the much larger car park at NDG can be used. There is a pleasant walk through the fields from the western end of the NDG car park - through the stile and follow your nose to ODG.

Cheers for a great day yesterday guys! Ian and Ben had a cracking day as well. Would definitely like to go back to there for a few days and stay somewhere. With so many climbs a day just doesn't do it justice.

Hi All. If I could squeeze in somewhere it would be good. If not I'll probably come up from Prestwich in my van. I'll have one spare seat plus load space in the back. Dave.

No worries Elliot. Yeah I'll give Derek a text. If he's in there will be 4 in my car as well. Ace looking forward to getting some routes in. Ill keep doing my sun dances in the meantime =D

I think we're sorted for a lift, so far four in ours and that's max capacity. If Derek is coming he could share with yous and more may come which would be good!

Weather is looking good too, so hopefully we'll be able to climb :).

Our plan is to leave around the same so all's looking good!

Did you guys want to lift share? I'm happy to drive with my friend coming as well. Space for 3 more :). Plan to leave bury at 07:00. I was going to look at some scrambles as well as a wet weather plan
