Event Description

A few MoB members are already set to join us for a weekend in Mabie Forest. Its near Dumfries (Carlisle + 45 mins.). We have booked some camping spaces, a teepee and a medieval round house (replica) - come prepared to camp but other froms of accommodation may be available (all £5 per night - except children). The attractions include cooking over an open fire, a hot tub and one or two other wacky features. Its well placed for 7 stanes mountain biking - with rides from the site and the Dumfries and Galoway hills are nearby. I am hoping to dish up some communal food on saturday night - but don't hold me to this just yet! All you need to do is ask us for details. We will need to keep a count of who is coming - but we hope to see a good MoB contingent.

No its not a "special occasion" - it just seemed like a good idea. Iron age costume would be nice to see!

Does sound like a great Idea, is this the Spring bank long weekend?
instead of the Braemar weekend?
I do fancy it but I would like to hold back on a deffinate decition just yet, not to sure what I am doing. Regards Deek
