BMC grants for clubs

The BMC have £21,000 available to clubs as grants to allocated according to 3 categories:

1. Websites and newsletters.

2. Mountaineering equipment.

3. Instructor support.  (£150 per session)

Priority will be given to projects that show the greatest impact on supporting novice members. 

Suggestions to date include abseil ropes and training members in SPA etc.  However, training doesn't seem to be included in this grant.

Possible suggestions:

Hiring an instructor for an introduction to leading course for new members and an introduction to winter skills for new members as this would benefit both new and existing members looking to branch out.

Applications must be in by May 1st and any instructors must be contacted before making an application. Therefore any suggestions must be made in the next couple of weeks if we are to apply.
