Event Description
A day's walk aimed at practicing hill navigation using map + compass (no GPS). Location - Shap Fells.
Please ideally bring OS Landranger(1:50,000 scale) map sheet 90, Pernrith & Keswick, a compass., and a pen/pencil.
Meet at Tebay Northbound services on M6, at 8:30am, to leave there at 8:45am.
Or at car park at S end of Wet Sleddale Reservoir dam, grid ref 555113, at 8:55am
If anyone wants to meet at usual place(junction on M65) to share transport, please let me know.
