Ambleside to Elterwater Walk

Walk from Ambleside to Elterwater, via Scandale Bridge, Rydal Hall, Heron Pike, Stone Cove, Stone Arthur, Butter Crag, Grey Crag, Town Head,, White Moss Common, Loughrigg Terrace, Grasmere Lakeshore, Hunting Stile, Red Bank Wood and Walthwaite Bottom. I'll be meeting up with a group from Aycliffe Fell Walking Club for this walk. Some of their members will do low level routes, taking in exploration of Cathedral Quarry & Cavern(torch needed), so you've an option join them instead.

Drink in the Britannia at Elterwater afterwards. Back to Ambleside by local bus, walking, or by car if we have more than one  carload.
