Anyone fancy entering the Rivington Trail Marathon on 5th October as a team of four relay? The stages are split over 9 (v/hilly), 7 (hilly) , 4.2 (hilly then flat) and 6 (undulating) miles allowing a mix of abilities.
We could get a couple of MOB teams involved and, weather permitting, follow it with a BBQ at my hy house in Horwich.
Cheers,
Will

Yes, its you, me, Tony and Graham so far. We can decide what legs people are doing nearer the time, based on fitness etc.
Will, I was intending to do the halfbut no problem doing the full monty as a team. My only comment is you might be a bit optimistic about the BBQ after!
Just trying to get my running started again. I could run on Tuesdays. If anyone was interested, thought we could do a circuit of Turton and Entwistle reservoir (4 miles) this Tuesday. Jog one circuit together at slowest pace, with option of finishing there or adding more on at your own pace. Put in some intervals along the way. That way everyone can get a run at their level. Good to get together and keep motivation up. Can do pasta at mine afterwards. If interested meet at mine at 7.00.
I would be interested in a regular easy run on Tuesdays. Could vary location. Good to do a shortish circular route so that everyone can get their distance in but with the option of a further circuit depending on where each person is with their own training.

I've been training at my running too, so I didn't let the team down. Let me know if its been cancelled, but will carry on with my running as I'm starting to feel reasonably fit.
Folks,
Just recieved a further e-mail from the event organisers and the Marathon Relay is definatley cancelled due to lack of numbers. They were looking to see if they could re-organise the race with a separate half and full distance but its not feasible.
For anyone still wanting to race you could always enter the half distance like Gary individualy, at present they've still got places available.
If not at least that added fitness you've gained will come in handy for the crags!
Cheers,
Will.
