Winter is not just a time for ice axes, crampons, and frostbite. It is also the perfect opportunity to get very frustrated at how hard it can be to get up a silly blob of gritstone scarcely higher than your own head (while huddling down in duvet jackets with flasks of hot stuff to fend off hypothermia in between attempts). A few of us have been talking about organising a bouldering meet before Xmas. The weekend of the 15-16 Dec looks good. I propose a trip to Burbage South (a brilliant venue with a great spread of grades from very easy upwards, with good landing in a great location). The best option is to keep it open about which day to go for, so we can be flexible with the weather. If enough people let me know if they are interested (and if they can bring a mat - I'll bring 2), I'll get things more organised. Mulled wine in the pub in Hathersage afterwards?!

I'll be interested in this if the weathers good. Not got any bouldering mats though, sorry. Never really bouldered before apart from pissing about between routes and indoors. Would be good to give it a proper bash, with someone who knows about bouldering grades and good routes etc. No one else up for this? Jordan? Will? Derek? etc
