Tough on the Streets - cushy in the pub

Derek's Street Orienteering idea turned out to be an absolute cracker!

6 brave competitors took to Rammy's notorious roadways. All of them returned (5 on time). Undisputed champion was Nigel (590 points) closely followed by Elliot (500) with a great performance from veteran Dave Dixon (340) who still had the energy to pursue a spurious argument about a control being in someone's garden (come on Dave it was night time!). There were commendable performances by Barry and Jordan and a near miss by Gary who clocked up 600 points (wow!) only to lose 330 (yes!) in a time penalty.

Meanwhile various club members drifted through the pub during the course of the evening.

A great way to pass an evening!

December Mob walk

The weather forecast had dire warnings for travel so very limited turn out Average age of the walkers was 70 y.o. There was just a small amount f snow on roads. But the regular track up Pendle hill was hard packed snow hence slippery. Took took the cross country route to Ogden Clough about 6ins of soft snow. Very few people out on the tops. Sorry the younger members were all at home watching City week in fact all back home before kick off
