Anglesey Bank Holiday

Our late summer trip to Regges started on the Thursday as we just got the tent up before the heavens opened, Regg and Val commented that they had not had rain as hard since they’d been on the Island.  Friday was mooch about day, Ann and I had a pleasant few hours exploring around the Menia area.  Visiting the Marquess of Anglesey’s Columu, standing 27 meters high, this tourist attraction offers fantastic views of Anglesey and the Menai Straits…

How quickly things have moved onwards and upwards!

having lost 18 months to shoulder and hip injuries,I can only stand back and admire the progress that period has seen amongst the climbers .Matt,Derek and Dominic aside ,no one was thinking beyond HVS .Some guys had made E1 an end of season objective .But with some indoor over winter climbing and determined start and continuation to the outdoors plus several new members ,standards are flying up the Richter scale .it's really inspiring to see and it really looks to have been a concerted group…

Deeply vale, an accidental E2, and the clean crag crew!

Last Friday Derek, Pat, Cat and I had a nice after work session over at Deeply Vale. If you haven’t visited Deeply Vale before it is an unassuming crag, but it has great character.

In recent years the crag had fallen into a state of disarray. Overgrown and green it saw few visits, but now it has been given a new lease of life.

The guys from the MOB and an unknown group have given it a clean and done some serious sprucing.…

MOB minutes May meeting Annual AGM

The AGM was well attended with approx 15 members.



Our current chair Cath Skinner did a quick resume of the years' events and thanked the members for their efforts and participation. Particular thanks goes to those who put events on the web site and managed them for all. We have had some great times out and about over the year together.

MOB minute Jan 2017 meeting

This was the annual photo comp presentation. Meeting well attended by 23 members.

New 20.00 hrs start time seems to work well.

People seems to be getting out and about over the xmas hols albeit on shorter ventures.

Plenty of biking and walking going on.

Future events include :

Sat 21st Jan. Christmas curry night. Let mick slater know if you are coming asap. This is usually well attended.
