We had a great evening at New Mills last night. Bertrand I started off with a repeat ascent of Mather Crack, E2 5b. I'm not quite sure when it became appropriate for me to jump on an E2 as the first route of the day, but it seemed to go pretty smoothly.

well today hasn't happened!! for whatever reason ,being out climbing left me with a very sourfaced wife .wasn't that i hadn't given advance notice of my intentions.All i got was,"I didn't think you'd be out 4 hours if you're climbing locally" !!!! A clear sign that this wasn't going down well. however my dearest will of course be out all afternoon at her Mum's ! i'm currently scratching my fingernails down every available wall

Just an historical post Ray Price joined about the same time as I did i.e before a lot of you were born. He was mainly a hill walker I have many happy memories of some of our trips such as bivvying mid winter in an old quarry cave at the head of Longsleddale.It was of course cold and wet.
