Last orders please-tomorrow viz sunday

The fates were against me at every turn today.too late for 2 groups.2 people not able to come out to play.So,tomorrow's my last shout .Once again deeply vale  because it's on a bus route that ,from rammy/Holcombe Broook,  will put me within  a mile walk from the Quarry.So ,if anyone is minded to go out ,I'm game am and/ or pm .Lisa,if you want to follow Dr's advice ,give us  a ring or text (.That applies to anyone actually-not the Dr bit I hope) 0797 2023606.

A cracking evening with the boys at New Mills

We had a great evening at New Mills last night. Bertrand I started off with a repeat ascent of Mather Crack, E2 5b. I'm not quite sure when it became appropriate for me to jump on an E2 as the first route of the day, but it seemed to go pretty smoothly.

answers on a post card .....

well today hasn't happened!!            for whatever reason ,being out climbing left me with a very sourfaced  wife .wasn't that i hadn't given advance notice of my intentions.All i got was,"I didn't think you'd be out 4 hours if you're climbing locally"   !!!!  A clear sign that this wasn't going down well.  however my dearest will of course be out all afternoon at her Mum's !           i'm currently scratching my fingernails down every available wall

Ray Price

Just an historical post Ray Price joined about the same time as I did i.e before  a lot of you were born. He was mainly a hill walker I have many happy memories of some of our trips such as bivvying mid winter in an old quarry cave at the head of Longsleddale.It was of course cold and wet. Saturday night a post came through via Whatsapp about a Mob MTB ride on following morning buthe forecast was for a winter front to push through turning to rain later did nothing not the most inspiring. Awoke 6.30 and peered out of the window expecting the worst but it wasn't that bad so by 7am l was up and breakfasting but still unsure whether to join the boys. 6 Men and a Bothy

The day and date Friday 19th January 2018.

Destination Greg's Hut on the side of Cross Fell.

The team Mark Davies, Ian Brewster, Mike Slater, Jon Waring, John (Johan) Brandon and Dave Owen.

MOB Dec meeting

This meeting was well attended as it included the annual photo competition ( separate blog to follow on the results).
