Event Description

A few of us are thinking of heading upto Giggleswick Scar in Yorkshire for some sport climbing (there is both sport and trad) on the Sunday if anyone is interested?

There is a good range of grades for all those wanting to come and the one time I have been there I remember it being a pretty cool place. Can arrange lifts I imagine, if required also.

Also if anyone has a guide they would be willing to lend it would be greatly appreciated also.

Thanks,

Will

Ending up going to Wales instead! Turned into a wild session of drinking rum on Towyn beach which is apparently a renowned dogging area!

Got a bit of sport in the following day but was feeling so rough that I didn't get up anything clean above 6b+! Plans are emerging for a trp to either Wales or the Lake district this weekend if anyone is game!

How was Giggleswick scar? It looks like a top crag on paper, was gutted to not check it out!

Do you know if there is anywhere nearby to camp? We might head out Saturday night now as I believe we may have a lift!

Berty and I are hoping to head out on Sunday, would be well up for this if lifts can be sorted!

Hi Will,

Not sure yet if I can make it yet. The up to date guide is available on the downloads page of www.theleedswall.co.uk. There is one for gigg south and one for gigg north. Both areas have been developed very extensively in the last year or so, with masses of routes in the 6a-7a range. Great venue!
